When residents were asked what they’d like to see added to the Quail Ridge social calendar, one suggestion was an authentic Indian dinner.The Social Activities Team, known as the SAT, organises most of the larger village events, with at least one planned each month. After considering local restaurants, the team decided the Indian evening would be better held at Quail Ridge, where residents wouldn’t have to drive at night, find parking in poorly lit areas or choose between enjoying a drink and driving home.Local caterer Di Thompson prepared the meal, which was enjoyed by residents on Wednesday 15 July. The evening proved popular, although numbers had to be limited because of the available seating until the new lodge is built.Following its success, three more international dining evenings are being planned for 2027, with Thai, Japanese, Italian and Chinese cuisine among the options being considered. Di has already been booked, with the menus and dates to be confirmed later this year.
It’s another example of how life at Quail Ridge takes shape around the people who live here. Residents can suggest activities, join in when something appeals, or simply enjoy life in their own way.
