Quail Ridge Country Club was delighted to be an entrant in the Rotary Garden Safari in October. It was all hands to the pump to get the landscaping finished around the lakes and boardwalk which now look sensational. We ran a raffle and raised $300.00 for Hospice. We would like to thank you Nosh/Four Square Waipapa, Ake Ake and Gubba Gardening Products for sponsoring the prizes
We are now running a shuttle bus to Kerikeri township. The service runs on a Friday morning and residents are making good use of the opportunity to shop without having to worry about finding a park (which is becoming increasingly difficult in our little town over the summer holidays!).
Stage 1 – 3 progress
In November Gerard Roofs filmed two promo videos at Quail Ridge Country Club – it shows Stages 1 – 3 of our village off to perfection. We are so proud of what we are achieving here and if you haven’t been to visit us yet we urge you to do so. We only have 5 sites left in Stages 1 -3 with the capital gain share offer and these won’t last long.
In case you didn’t know, Quail Ridge Country Club is a family owned village. So it was with great excitement that owner Don Cottle and daughter Sally (Village Manager) watched two technicians from Barton McGill install the restored billiard table in the Lodge earlier in December. Sally’s Grandfather Victor Cottle purchased it in 1949 from a stately home on The Terrace in Wellington and the table stayed in Cottle farm homestead on the Kapiti Coast until 2016 when shipped to Auckland for restoration. The table was manufactured by Alcock and Co in Melbourne in 1892. A very early model, it is made of Tasmanian Blackwood and the 3 inch slates are genuine Welsh slates.
