Wendy Turner

Village Manager
I am a Registered Nurse and hold a bachelor of business degree. I have over 25 years’ experience in the healthcare and aged care sectors, including senior leadership roles including Chief Operations Officer for Radius Healthcare, Regional Manager for Ryman Healthcare, Service Manager for Counties Manukau, Contracts & Projects Manager at Auckland District Health Board and Director of Care at St Andrew’s Healthcare in Australia. I have also been engaged as an independent clinical, operations and human resources consultant. I remain committed to my original career goal of becoming a nurse where I have also worked in various clinical settings. The combination of clinical, management and leadership experience has equipped me well to provide a well-rounded management and leadership style with a focus on providing consistently high quality of service. I love my role at Quail Ridge Country Club as it affords me the ability to utilise the full range of my skill set, whist working in the most beautiful surroundings imaginable.

Glenn Roberts

Sales Manager
My wife, three sons, and I moved from Waikato, and we settled here in Kerikeri. I absolutely love the Northland lifestyle. We wanted to be closer to the water and that is exactly what we have achieved. With the warmer climate, we can enjoy a great lifestyle all year round – it is just wonderful! My background is mainly in the media industry, including radio, television, and online platforms. I also have experience in the construction industry and have recently finished a NZQA level 4 in Real Estate. My role at Quail Ridge Country Club allows me to utilise my knowledge base. When I am not here in the village, you will generally find me in, on or around the water – most likely trying to encourage a few fish to come for dinner.

Lesley McDougall

Head Landscape Gardener
After 30 years creating gardens and growing plants my passion hasn’t faded. I am fortunate to have worked in many different nurseries, gardens and garden centres in a variety of roles. Animals are another of my passions, while running my own landscaping business I worked part time as a vet nurse and studied in my spare time. Six years later we moved to Waiheke Island where I worked as a garden consultant and managed the local garden centre. When my son was old enough I went back to work as manager for the Waiheke SPCA. In 2013 my dream to have a piece of land was realised when my partner and I move to a 5 acre farm in Kaeo. I now spend every spare moment developing my own little piece of paradise with my furry and feathered companions.

Christian Druery

Maintenance Manager
For me it is all about the people! This is at the forefront of my every day and has been for the five years since I started working at Quail Ridge Country Club. I see it as a privilege to be part of the residents lives and thrive on the varied challenges the role offers. I install equipment, solve problems and get to fix most things you can find around a home. I am always trusted to care and listen, and I have a sixth sense around baking days, when I can been seen hovering around outside. I have a background in design and experience working in multiple trades involving furniture. My passion is guitar making.

Sharon Gentil

Maintenance & Building Coordinator
I have had the pleasure of being a part of the Quail Ridge journey for eight years and have seen the village develop into the wonderful place it is. My family come from the north; I returned to the north in the early 90s when I started my family. My husband Pete and I have five children between us whom we raised here in Kerikeri. They have all now gone off on their own path though return frequently to visit. I have been a hobby apiarist (beekeeper) for over 10 years and enjoy being out with my ladies producing beautiful northland honey. Pete’s an independent marriage and civil union celebrant (who would say, I manage him, within an inch of his life 😊) I prepare the wedding ceremony script and manage the event music. It is lovely to share this occasion with newlyweds. In my spare time, I enjoy renovating our century old villa, family, and family time, getting out and amongst my garden and most of all love being with our family pets.

Dinny Otene

Receptionist/Administrator
Prior to joining Quail Ridge CC as Receptionist, I worked for a Motor Vehicle Company based in Kaitaia for almost 20 years, in a Customer Services / Accounts Administration role. I was born in Kaitaia and now live in Mangamuka about 45 minutes from Kerikeri. For many years I lived & worked in Auckland but made the decision to move back to the Bay of Islands. My work here is varied, interesting and most enjoyable! I have met some lovely people, & enjoy being part of the Quail Ridge Country Club Team.
